The Nets may have a bigger problem on their hands than wins, losses and the rotation.

The CBS affiliate in Philadelphia is reporting that, per its sources, an unnamed member of the team and his entourage are being questioned in connection with an alleged sexual assault that took place inside a Four Seasons Hotel in Center City early Tuesday morning around 4 a.m.

The NBC affiliate in Philadelphia added to the original CBS report, saying that the unnamed Nets was in the Four Seasons suite, but not the actual room where the alleged assault took place.

The Philadelphia Police Department told SNY.tv that no one has been charged with sexual assault and that the investigation is ongoing.

The Four Seasons in Center City released a statement saying, “The Philadelphia Police Department responded to a call to Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia early this morning (January 8). We are fully cooperating with the police investigation.”

Investigators are waiting to speak with the 21-year-old complainant, who was taken to an area hospital, before making any decisions regarding filing charges.

The Nets, winners of five of their last six games under interim head coach P.J. Carlesimo, are in Philadelphia to take on the 76ers at 7 p.m. The team had been scheduled to hold shootaround at the Wells Fargo Center at 10:30 a.m.

Nets General Manager Billy King released a statement after the news broke saying,We are aware of the ongoing police investigation regarding a member of the Brooklyn Nets.  We will have no further comment until the investigation has concluded. All of our players are available for tonight’s game.”
