The Nets are the first team in the NBA this season to record 13 or more steals in three straight games.
Brooklyn averaged 9.2 steals per game in January, and have a combined 30 in their two February contests. Overall, they’ve forced their opponents into 16.7 turnovers per game in 2014.
John PaolantonioZach Lowe of Grantland said it best: “The Nets, basically, are dictating match up confusion.”
Perfect way to say what the Nets have done since the new year. The defense with the smaller lineups of Shaun Livingston and Andrei Kirilenko using their length to create problems for other teams. The jumping of the passing lanes and each guy knowing their role and identity on defense has changed everything. They cover for each other much better and have figured out the defensive rotations which have led to NBA highs in steals the last three games.
