Lou Carnesecca Reminisces Over ABA Days
Over the years, the Nets have been a franchise that have played in many different areas and arenas in both New York and New Jersey. It’s hard to imagine that this is the same franchise that Dr. J played for and the same one that Jason Kidd led to two consecutive NBA Finals back in 2002 and 2003.
Now that the Nets have relocated to Brooklyn, it’s easy to forget that this team was New Jersey’s team for many, many years.
Budd Mishkin of NY1 sat down with former Nets General Manager and St. John’s University coach, Lou Carnesecca and took a stroll down memory lane…
“Not all of the places the Nets played looked like Brooklyn’s new Barclays Center.
Back in the early 1970s, the Nets played in a place called Island Garden in West Hempstead, N.Y. Former Nets general manager Lou Carnesecca has frosty memories of the venue.
