Deron Williams To Miss Two Practices with Ankle Injury
UPDATE 1:46 p.m.
Avery Johnson expects Williams to return in two practices, so it’s looking like he will suit up for opening night.
The Nets are off from practice Sunday, so Williams is expected back on the court Monday.
Avery also said the team expects @DeronWilliams to return in 2 practices (either Sunday or Monday). Injury hadn't limited him thus far.

This injury is definitely a concern, since Williams has missed time each of the past two seasons due to injuries. It’s also troubling that this has to happen less than a week to go before opening night. However, all indications suggest that the injury is not that serious, and Williams should be in the lineup Thursday. How this will affect him long-term remains to be seen, but even so, the C.J. Watson signing is looking even more like a great move. Stay tuned for more updates on this situation.
